Paid members will receive the monthly newsletter and any announcements.
SWMO Visual Arts Collective membership dues are paid on a January–December calendar basis, and members may join at any time during the year. If a member joins after October 1, their dues will be applied through the following calendar year.
Membership provides the opportunity to enter artwork in all juried shows and be eligible for drawing entries for select exhibitions.
For example, members are welcome to participate in themed exhibitions such as those held on the 5th Floor of Juanita K. Hammons Hall throughout the year.
Members may also have opportunities to display their artwork in Featured Artist shows on the 4th Floor and at community venues such as Nearly Famous Deli and Pasta House. Specific criteria and opportunities are announced throughout the year.
Members are encouraged to become actively involved in SWMO Arts Collective by:

Attending monthly meetings featuring guest speakers and demonstrations

Assisting with the installation and display of artwork at exhibition venues

Participating in events and exhibitions

Serving on the Board of Directors
Accepted Media
The SWMO Visual Arts Collective welcomes artists working in a variety of media, including:

Watercolor

Oils

Acrylics

Pastels

Mixed Media

Digital Art (created by the artist, not computer-generated)

Photography

Fiber Art (as permitted by venue)

3-D Sculpture (as permitted by venue)
If a prospective member works in a medium not listed above, they are encouraged to speak with a Board member regarding possible inclusion.
We invite you to consider the SWMO Visual Arts Collective as part of your artistic journey.
For our records, we require that the Waiver Form (doc) or Waiver Form (pdf) be reviewed, signed, and dated. Your signature confirms your understanding of and agreement to the terms outlined in the document. You can print and bring it to the monthly meeting. You can also get a Waiver Form at the monthly meeting, sign it, and hand it in.
