Andi Snethern

I am deeply grateful for the talent and passion that drive my artistic journey.  My growth as an artist is fueled by the daily dedication I bring to my easel.  Art is my way of life-whether or not I have a paintbrush in hand, I am constantly immersed in the process, thinking, seeing, wondering and planning my next piece.

Watercolors captivate me with their transparency, luminosity and vibrancy.  These qualities are integral to my floral, landscape, pet portrait and still life paintings.   As a primarily self-taught artist, I describe my style as representational-realistic with meticulous attention to detail.

I believe that a painting can convey a unique language.  Through layers of washes, glazes and colors I strive to evoke emotions and communicate feelings in my work.  My goal is to share the joy and excitement that I feel completing a piece.  It’s incredibly rewarding    when my paintings resonate with viewers, allowing them to experience the same awe and connection I felt during their creation.Artist Statement
