Throughout my work I seek to display joy and celebrate curiosity in everyday life.  Bright, vibrant colors are a common thread throughout my catalog of paintings, many of which blend loose abstraction with whimsically-altered realistic subjects, ranging from architecture and landscapes to plants and animals.   I love to create eye-catching works from a distance that reward the viewer with minutiae, textures, and intricacies upon closer inspection.

Janelle Patterson is active in the arts community in the Midwest, is a juried member of Best of Missouri Hands, and regularly participates in numerous shows throughout the area.  Janelle lives with her family in Springfield, Missouri.
