November Speaker
Our speaker is Doug Steere.
After a lengthy career as an attorney in Washington D.C., Doug moved back to Springfield following retirement. He had only two art classes in college at SMSU, instead majoring in writing. Doug also prepares this group’s newsletter, which connects him back to his writing major.
More discussion at the meeting about how art found him in retirement in late 2022, but it’s been two years of experimenting with paint. He’ll also talk about creating art with a neurological condition and the impact of being colorblind. (Result: swooshes of bold colors.) He prefers creating abstract paintings with a suggestion of something therein. Behind all of that dwells the imposter syndrome!
Hope to see you and your art on the 14th.
