Emmie Seaman - April 8 The genesis of my work as a fabric artist was with my grandmother who spun wool to knit the family's socks and sweaters. It continued through my mother who found joy in dressing me in pretty clothes as a child. Their textile applications, both utilitarian and aesthetic, piqued my early interest in creating my own artistic expression. Our family also explored the National Parks in Southern Utah and California. It is no surprise that many of my favorite places to paint are in these locales, as well as scenic areas of Ariz
