October Speaker - Lynn Hall
“Lynne Hall loves to create! An Ozarks native, she is inspired by the wonder of God’s creation; the details of faces, flowers and all of nature. In 2016, spurred on by the desire to draw her soon coming grandbabies, she took an 8-week realistic portrait drawing class with Audrey Bottrell Parks. She fell in love with the process. She began to develop new eyes to see and appreciate God’s unique design of each of His creations as well as a desire to learn more about the stories of people’s lives.”
“One of the most enjoyable things I get to do is work with clients on their vision and collaborate on ideas. On one occasion, I went to my clients’ home, learned about their love of nature and using natural elements in their home, they showed me colors they liked and the place where my work would be displayed. They showed me the artwork they had, the stories behind them, and why they were each important. From there I looked for inspiring photos and color schemes, made a few watercolor sketches for them, and then transformed the small sketch they chose to a 4’ x 6’ painting. What a joy to see my painting, sailboats in harbor, grace the walls of their home. Another favorite part of my work is the smiles and happy tears of my clients when they see their loved ones’ portraits.”
